This year, the holiday decor trends are giving classic — and honestly, I have been loving it, especially with all the classic holiday crafts that are coming back like paper chains + snowflakes. I feel like we are all craving a slow + meaningful season.

The buzzword of course has been “Ralph Lauren Christmas” vibes with deep greens, rich burgundies & traditional plaids. H&M Home totally understood the assignment, and the collection feels timeless, cozy, and curated without trying too hard. While I don’t think you need to refresh your decor every single year (see below!) I do think they did a great job of having timeless, classy pieces that will last despite the trends!

Here’s the thing — you don’t need to overhaul your decor very year. This is my go-to formula to keep things simple:

1. Use what I have first
2. Thrift what I can
3. Order a few new pieces before Christmas
4. Stock up during boxing day sales (hello 70–80% off!!!)

It’s realistic, budget-friendly and makes decorating feel like an evolving tradition instead of a to-do list. I truly love hunting and sourcing new and vintage pieces that become part of our family traditions.

• Candle-forward everything: Their candle selection is dreamy. Taper holders, pillar candles, and magical golden tealight holders— perfect for adding that soft, wintery glow that makes evenings feel a little slower and a little more special. (I am stocking up to use these BEYOND just Christmas time, and will use deep into the long dreary days of January)
